Sydney Champeau, LMT
Sydney was trained in Massage Therapy in Green Bay, Wisconsin where she worked on football players from the Green Bay Packers, semi-pro football team the Green Bay Blizzard, local Hockey team the Green Bay Gamblers, and the general public. She has nine years of experience in the massage therapy field, developing her own "heavy handed" style of massage incorporating mostly Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue.
Sydney has been professionally trained in modalities such as Craniosacral Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Myofascial Release Technique, Lymphatic Massage, Sports Specific Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Pre-natal Massage, Sinus Massage and Reflexology. She is described to have a "healing energy" about her and an intuition that aids in her ability to help her patients both physically and emotionally.
Outside of the world of massage Sydney studies up-cycled wearable art, creating high fashion garments out of discarded recycled materials such as paper, metal, fabric, plastic, etc. Her collections have been showcased multiple times at Milwaukee Fashion Week, the Palmer House Chicago, and various other venues across the Midwest. Her mantra is to “save the world one garment at a time.” As a child Sydney studied at the Peninsula School of Art, where she became proficient in Oil Pastel Portrait and Still-life. She is a self-taught fashion designer. Her knowledge of sewing and pattern making started with her mom at the age of 5 and continues today. Sydney also enjoys seeking out the darkest, star filled skies for Astro Photography subjects. She produces these "otherworldly" images with her husband.
Growing up in Door County, Wisconsin, a peninsula surrounded by water, Sydney became an avid kayaker. She has completed 3 of the most adventurous journeys Wisconsin has to offer; the St Croix River, the Lower 92 of the Wisconsin River and the Sea Caves of Devils Island in the northern Apostle Islands. Her favorite adventures are multi day excursions carrying all her camping gear with her in her kayak. Sydney has deep water rescue training and experience with “Big Water” kayaking, such as Island hopping in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. Now living in Boulder, Colorado, Sydney is looking for her next big adventure.
